A Look Back at 2025: Wins, Challenges, and What’s Next

As the year comes to a close, I always feel pulled to pause — not to rush into the next goal, but to reflect. Reflection has become one of the most valuable practices in my business and personal life, especially in seasons filled with change — marriage, motherhood, shifting priorities, growth… all of it.

If I had to sum up this year in review for 2025 in one word, it would be: Forward.

It’s not flashy. It’s not dramatic. But it’s honest.

This year, so much arrived faster than I expected. Motherhood. Business decisions. Life transitions. And even when I didn’t feel “ready,” I still sensed God inviting me forward — one small, faithful step at a time.

Not striving.
Not forcing.
Just moving forward.

And I’m learning that’s more than enough.

Slow, Intentional Growth — and Why I’m Okay With It

One of the biggest themes of this year was accepting that slow growth is still growth — and often the healthiest kind, especially in the season I’m in as a first-time mom and creative entrepreneur.

You can overestimate what you’ll build in one year…
but underestimate what you’ll build in five.

So I focused on what I could do:

✔️ Serving my clients well
✔️ Improving and refining my Squarespace templates
✔️ Showing up consistently — even when it was quiet
✔️ Setting up real systems so my business could support my life (not the other way around)

And quietly, steadily… things grew.

Website visits increased.
Template sales continued little by little.
My business stayed stable — even during maternity leave — thanks to planning, systems, and the loving support of my husband (I truly thank God for our marriage and teamwork every day).

If you’re walking through your own season of rebuilding or starting something new — I hope this reminds you that forward doesn’t have to be fast.

Sometimes obedience just looks like the next right step.

Building Systems — So My Business (and I) Can Breathe

This was also the year I leaned into smarter structure — creating workflows in HoneyBook and optimizing the back end of Squarespace so my templates could sell and deliver seamlessly, even when I wasn’t online.

That shift gave me:
• Less mental load
• More peace
• And the ability to be present in motherhood

Because yes — I’m a creative.
But I’m also a wife, a mom, a woman who values rest and margin, and… in the works of building a few family businesses (stay tuned).

And systems support that.

Motherhood — And the Honest Learning Curve

I’ll say it plainly: I underestimated the emotional and logistical load of new motherhood.

Not in a negative way — but in a real way.

My energy changed.
My time changed.
My capacity changed.

And instead of resenting that, I learned to honor it. For the future, I now know I’ll plan for at least three months of maternity leave — maybe more — because presence matters to me.

This business was intentionally built online so it could stretch and flex with life as our family grows. I’m grateful every day that it can!

Creativity, Clarity, and the Work I Love Most

Through template creation and client work this year, I found more clarity than ever about:

🎨 My design style
🤝 The kinds of clients I truly love serving
💼 And the industries where my work really shines

And one of my favorite projects?

Creating my husband’s website and working together as a team. It reminded me of the creative capacity inside me — and the beauty of building side-by-side in marriage.

It also reminded me how powerful a clear, strategic, beautiful website can be for someone with a dream… and that’s something I want to continue helping people build.

A Personal Shoutout

I’m stepping into 2026 with peace, clarity, and godly ambition.

Here’s what’s coming:

New templates designed especially for service-based small businesses

Stronger focus on template customization

Continued refinement & better education so your website actually supports your goals

And behind all that? A desire to welcome more people into this journey — especially women like me who value faith, family, creativity, and building something meaningful over time.

My hope is to someday have a strong and mighty group of people who want to grow alongside me — not just in business, but in life. Faith. Marriage. Motherhood. Creativity. Stewardship. Multiple income streams via family businesses. Peaceful, godly ambition.

If that sounds like you… I’d truly love for you to come with me.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As I look forward, I’m excited—but intentional.

In 2026, you can expect:

  • New and more advanced Squarespace templates

  • Templates tailored specifically for service-based industries

  • A stronger focus on template customization instead of full custom websites

  • Continued refinement of systems that support sustainable growth

The goal isn’t more work—it’s smarter work.
